Aurélien's music online - UTOPIA
About

Utopia is a cyber-heroic-rock album.

Saturated guitars meet electronic, synthetic, urban sounds. The atmospheres are sometimes warm and sometimes cold.
It's a conceptual album, whose lyrics deal with the utopia of living together, of past and future reconciled.
Nature in the city. Harmony in every thing.

Unsatisfied with the initial production, Aurélien remixed and remastered the album during autumn 2017. This new version is available accross all music platforms.

Lyrics

Soleil - Sun

The lands, reddened by the sun
The sand, buried under cherry-red foliage
I feel overwhelmed, I run away, as night falls out there
I have to seek refuge

My mind troubled by a stream of thoughts
Love buried in a tourmented life
And I seek, and I run, just wanting the brightness of the sun
A white light when I wake up

The sunbeams breaking through the clouds
Lighting up the sky, stilling the wind
Men moving over there, the city awakening
Under a dome of passing ages
Wealth in an indistinct ocean

Wood façades, granite columns decorated with stones
The villages of this world are full of peace and light
I would just like to be lucky enough to wake up
With a blank page at my feet
To write my words using single syllabes

The sunbeams breaking through the clouds
Lighting up the sky, stilling the wind
Men moving over there, the city awakening
Under a dome of passing ages
Wealth in an indistinct ocean

Trapèzes - Trapeziums

A world hidden by colour trapeziums
Glazed mosaic that I know off by heart
I'm walking slowly, I can feel the heat on my skin
And I see, behind the window, some flags in tatters

What is this universe, gently attracting me
The sound of the bells reaching my ears
The noise of the streets, life is busy
However, behind the glass, I wake up quickly

The noise of printing presses pulls me from my thoughts
Writing the daily history of the city
I jam my hat down on my head, go down the stairs
I want to set foot on the stone-paved lively streets

This curious sensation of a fast-moving world
That a whole world and the seasons overwhelm us

Urbana

Mountains of glass, mountains of glass, mountains of glass
Silver palaces
Mountains of glass, mountains of glass, mountains of glass
With disturbing reflections

Cold lights in every direction
A moving world, going forward without paying attention

A city-planet before my eyes
A city-planet before my eyes

A bath of light, stone giants, gigantic greenhouses
Thousand-years-old trees
In the shadow of the towers, big ships filling the sky
I move alone
A curious mixture of all civilisations
But everyone has a chance, everyone goes hand to hand

A city-planet before my eyes
A city-planet before my eyes

Souvenir - Memory

I know your places and I know your secrets
When I close my eyes to imagine
Water becoming murky when the wind gets up
The quiet evening as the sun goes down

A path accross the dunes, where the heat increases
Leading us to the town, under an opal sky
These houses in the dunes, the grass into the wind
And people in the streets, singing happiness

Singing happiness, singing happiness

Our confidences on the wet sand
The greatest projects are often born this way
Do you remember, The mind cherished by the sound of waves
When night has come, the moon protecting us

Like meeting an old friend after a long time
The sea always calls me back
Its waters becoming troubled when the wind gets up
My eyes becoming blurry at the end of summer

Do you remember ?
